One Late Summer Day

What at first glance seems to be a painting of an attractive but unremarkable landscape conventionally portrayed, turns strange with the recognition of the foot of a blue pyramid in the foreground.  The artist lived and worked in the Skagit Valley where his surrounding environment permeates his artwork.
