Summer

Liza Von Rosenstiel engages the viewer through the creation of an imagined environment influenced by art historical quotations.  Works from 14th century Italy and 16th century Northern Europe appear as markers in the paintings, providing associations to the subject of each work in the series.  Von Rosenstiel ultimately invites the viewer to leave the drab reality of today and move into an environment where past, present and future mingle.
