Hiding Behind Sagebrush

Spokane artist, Dick Ibach frequently paints of experiences in his life.  He grew up in Yakima in central Washington where sagebrush abounds.  So he brings this history with him in his work. The glittery application of paint is child-like in its playfulness, but is also hyper-active in its delivery.

The direction of imagery is often autobiographical.  It is my intention to speak of the dichotomy of the human condition, both the nobility and stupidity of it all. –Artist statement
