An accomplished printmaker (he taught printmaking at the
University of Washington for several years), Mr. Ritchie
balances his craft with his desire to present a pseudo-
documentary view of an event. There is no spaceship
crash, just multiple photographs of the reputed crash site.
To twist the plot more, he prints the images in pretty pastel
colors to enhance the decorative appeal of the work. If there
were such a crash, it might well change the history of mankind
to portray it in tiny views and in pale pastels indicates that this
may not be an entirely serious investigation of the subject.
