The Max and Gaby Alphabet project was conceived in 1998 when my son Max, then five, first began learning the alphabet.  The image for each letter was conceived by the children in the neighborhood.  I wanted to celebrate my children's childhood and let them know they have a singular place in my work.
This image is a triumphant reversal of the food chain with the fish dangling a hapless man from his rod and reel.
