Description: Two cast concrete armchairs and table form a seating group on a base of poured concrete. The arrangement is sheltered on the south side by a low curved wall of cultured stone.
Artist Statement: This open-air sitting room provides sculptural seating in the park adjacent to the play area where adults can enjoy a quiet conversation in full view of their playing children and kids themselves will find the piece an irresistible environment for playing house. The curved wall encloses and embraces the furniture lending a sense of intimacy and comfort to the place. With large trees, houses and rooftops as its backdrop, the sculpture will reference the domestic tranquility of the surrounding neighborhood, its families and their community.
