Description: Repeating patterns are etched into the wall surface, bronze leaves are scattered across the pattern. The landscaping continues down from the wall in a tumble of boulders and plantings that lead down towards the Webster lobby entrance.
Artist Statement: Designed in collaboration with the architect, the vertical wall serves as a signpost for the building, as well as a memory marker for officers lost in the line of duty. The scattered leaves and streambed patterns derive from the Longfellow Creek Watershed and the officers’ existing tree marker to a fallen comrade at their old precinct.
