Heiau II (17/18)

The artist is interested in stacking abstract and figurative forms within the same ambiguous space of the print image.  The figure takes some inspiration from the Hawaiian temple architecture or Heiaus, from South Asian children's books and the lumpy shapes of American painter Phillip Guston.
