As one of the best known artists working predominantly with handmade paper in the Northwest during the 1980s, Margaret Sahlstrand practiced the method of casting forms as her subject matter. Employing pieces of old clothing in the making of her paper pulp, she created her molds, and then replicated the original clothing with a hand-made paper forms, in this case an apron.
