Fear of Volcanoes 46

This painting is informed by all the volcanoes in the Cascadian Range. I remember driving around Mount St. Helens a few years after its eruption and finding pumice and seeing the mud-lines on the trees from the lahars, all the destruction, the fallen trees. All the grey. It's stuck with me. –Artist statement
