I Wish a Mother Would Dreamer Tableau

This photo is a slice of time that is emblematic of looking at a community of people finding creative ways to survive in late capitalism as people of color dreaming a new world. Ingram staged and art directed tableau vivants with sets that included raw cotton, pink Himalayan salt, dried fish, molasses and yams and lead performers. These tableaus were based on a community art project consisting of oral histories and digital portraits that continue movements such as Black Lives Matter. –Artist statement
