A Subjective View of Captivity (Aaron and Faisal)

C. Davida Ingram is a conceptual artist and activist based in Seattle, Washington whose work creates counter-narratives about race and gender via lens-based media, social practice, performance, and installation. As an artist, Ingram is passionate about the representation of Black women and Black communities broadly defined. Along with race and gender, her work often addresses desire, power, and the notion of belonging in society and nature.
