I consider myself an artist whose medium is stories, especially those passed on from grandmother to mothers, from father to sons. I like using accessible and understated materials. The materials I used have as much meaning as the imagery in the work. I like the domesticity of dishes, it echoes of home. To break bread with someone is to bond with them. –Artist statement
