Unlikely Pears, for WSB

This print is about creating something unique and absurd from ordinary elements.  The narratives are a weave of personal stories and altered tales and symbols inspired by such disparate sources as Catholicism, William Burroughs, American West and alchemy.  The carved fruit face represents a Disney-esque view of the world, one in which everything must be animated to be magical.  The narrative drawing above the photo image describes unseen mythic conflicts that permeate everyday life.
