Open House 3

Anita Thacher is a New York-based artist known for her site-specific multimedia installations, films, videos, public art and photographic works.  The primary concern of her work is perception and its relationship to inner states of mind and feeling. 

My aim is to create work that may be experienced like a magic act, thus shifting our expected orientation.  While the work celebrates seeing and perception, it also gives evidence to the magic of experience. –Artist statement
