Laxgyibuu is the Tsimshian word for Wolf Clan or Wolf Crest. It's a traditional design for people of the Wolf to use as a way of representing their family and lineage to others. Wolves are known for their powerful family ties and for their co-operation, so they have become a symbol of community and of working together. –Artist statement
