I appropriated a drawing by my daughter Beatrix, of her and her friend Anya dancing together under a disco ball with reflective light, and my daughter saying Shhh. I then repeatedly traced her drawing to form a composition, adding Japanese dot pattern and complementary hue. –Artist statement
