The first time I photographed Wes Wehr he was painting one of his beautiful little paintings that measured from 2 inches square up to maybe 10 inches square. He painted on the floor using mixed media and when he finished there were crayons, charcoal and other media scattered over the floor. In the lower right corner of the photograph his cat 'Fauve' watches. –Artist statement
