My 55 years of photography in the Northwest falls into three general groups: children and family, people who have contributed to the cultural environment of the Northwest (artists, patrons, architects, writers), and the natural landscape. Painter Morris Graves was the first artist I photographed. He is shown here during the construction of his home, 'Careladen Woodway Park,' Edmonds near where I lived. Everything he created was beautiful. –Artist statement
