Photographed at Morris Graves' place 'Careladen Wood Park' having tea. Morris' dog Edith, named after Edith Sitwell is shown with them. Here, Morris had just begun to build his home. Marian Willard ran the Willard Gallery in New York that showed the work of Morris Graves, Mark Tobey, and later Philip McCracken. This is the only time Morris Graves and Mark Tobey were photographed together. –Artist statement
