Goddess Series: The Vase #1

The artist has taken an extremely classic shape and brought it into a 20th century sparkle with decorative elements sewn to the surface.  The piece becomes as much an expression of craft as it does one of formal elements.  What it primarily provides in this city of gray, however is a riot of much needed color.
