Description: Six cast in concrete with color pigments from patterns.

Artist Statement: The Ripple Sculptures evoke the coastal setting of the Puget Sound and the expansive tidal flats of the South Beach at Discovery Park.  As the Leaf Legend functions to integrate the artwork into the Visitor Center on a spatial level, the Strata Benches define the serpentine plan of the artwork and the Ripple Sculptures reference the tides.  My goal is that the artwork reflects the natural setting of the park and corroborates the objectives of the Center as an environmental education facility through association and the repetition and progression of cycles in nature.

Location: Discovery Park Visitor Center, 3801 West Government Way, Seattle WA 98199
