Description: Four seating elements of layered and cast concrete with integral color pigments and local aggregate

Artist Statement: The Strata Benches reflect the antiquity and character of the bluffs along the southwest shore of Discovery Park.  They were formed and poured using concrete mixed on site with integral color pigments and local aggregate that mirror that composition.  The Strata Benches reflect a dimension of cycles in geological time and provide visitors a place to rest.
