Changing Of The Bay is a depiction of the Puget Sound in Larrabee State Park. I painted the view of a tide pool that formed amongst the rocks on a stormy day. There was a small amount of sunlight peeking through the storm clouds, which is represented by the gold leaf. We all have a sense of wonder and longing when looking at nature. We are blessed, living in the Pacific Northwest with the abundance around us, with lakes, trees, the Puget Sound and the mountains. Take time to sit and stare into these mesmerizing spaces, allow for your mind to calm and your connection to this land to take hold. –Artist statement
