I talk about social issues and stereotypes through my work. I am passionate about discussing taboos and overlooked issues. I feel as an artist, it’s our responsibility to present and discuss such issues and educate society. Fading/Emerging, a self-portrait is from my recent body of work in which I am combining wood sculpture with miniature painting. In some countries & cultures dressing up, wearing sleeveless tops can be looked upon as a bad thing and often related to the character of girls. –Artist statement
