The Traveler

The inspiration for this board was seeing all the craziness and chaos of people in areas like the airport, being late for a flight, or crowds of people coming and going, running and walking around, exhausted from traveling all day. I picture it as being from a “people watching” point of view. I also put the negative space stripe off center just as more of a style thing. I’ve always liked that boarding style, whether it be skate, snow or surfing, where you often see that racing stripe off center on different things like boards or jackets. Putting the stripe on both the paddle and the board was a fun challenge. –Artist statement
