Glacier National Park, Sioux Indian Village, Blackfoot Indian Encampment

Glacier National Park. . . I have been collaging photos and postcards that historically have shown the “Indian” of the past, often to honor these individuals, but also to raise awareness of the stereotypes that were created by photographers to romanticize the red noble savage that freeze these people in time, as well as document them a the vanishing race. The background is lyrical in approach and supports the postcards- creating a narrative. –Artist statement
