Offshore Drilling is one in a series of artworks addressing the damage being done to our natural environment. In this case, the reference is to the deep-water oil drilling being done without adequate measures to protect us from the inevitable oil spills. It is my hope that the work is aesthetically pleasing while conveying a serious message. –Artist statement
