Description: Artwork is a mosaic executed in small-scale pieces of marble and glass of Italian origin.  The design was originally a set of clay prints created by the artist and translated into a mosaic mural at a specialized workshop.

Artist Statement: The somewhat naturalistic appearing branch and its accompanying twine element represent the interaction of humanity and nature.  The twine has buttons, beads, and knots occasionally set along its length, to further represent human presence.  The branch is made up, an amalgam of local branch forms.  The twine form appears alternately as rope, thread, or ribbon.

Location: Seattle Center, Fisher Pavilion
