A largely forgotten and rare public sculpture by the late William Sildar. Sildar was an artist in residence with the City of Seattle in 1975 when he carved the abstract assemblage of horizontal and vertical forms, ten feet long and six and a half feet high, that depicts fourteen people waiting in line. This seventeen-hundred-pound sculpture was carved out of laminated wood. –James Rupp, Art in Seattle’s Public Places, 2018
