Perceived Autonomy

I was born in San Jose, California to a Mexican mother and a Caucasian father. Growing up in suburbia became a space where I searched for people and places that felt new to me. I found inspiration in places that people stayed away from— creek beds, sewers and abandoned buildings. –Artist statement
