Market Purse

My ideas are in my paintings.  They have room to move around there, and people can bring their own ideas in too.  I'll try to put the ideas into words, but it feels a little clumsy and closed.  With the words I feel as if I have to go in one direction, and with painting I can explore several directions at once.  I am more comfortable putting my ideas into paint than into words. It always comes down to the painting, not the words about the painting. –Artist statement
