Winter Missed Missed

These two pieces form a diptych that links natural plant forms and seasonal colors with psychological states.  They are based loosely on bamboo, blood and tears.  The titles refer to the atmospheric quality that makes each season distinct.  They poetically touch upon life and loss.  The vertical forms are reminiscent of an Asian approach to composition and the representation of nature. –Artist statement
