Tree Line (Proposal Drawing)

This is a proposal drawing from the early 1980s for a sculpture that was never built (the Pioneer Square Preservation Board blocked the installation as being inappropriate for the neighborhood). This drawing is what remains of the formidable public process through which this and all proposed public artworks are subjected. Whether you like the sculpture or not, it is interesting to see what might have been through the eyes of the artist as he envisioned the site and the possibilities.
