The images I use are clearly delineated, often crisply outlined in silhouette, conventionally illustrative and graphic.  I employ the grid.  These are visual tactics normally used to present an idea clearly – I subvert this tradition, instead presenting a map without a legend, a system without a single story…The images of fruit and flowers combined with more abstract symbology construct an invented garden, a lush interior space that is both mysterious and contemplative and energetic and chaotic. –Artist statement
