My work often explores place and context. The tools we use to process information and the moments of our understandings help shape my visual vocabulary. This artwork is intimately connected to an early studio practice in Pioneer Square, surrounded and influenced by artists such as Drake Deknatel, Kay Kirkpatrick and Su Jobs, among others, in the old 619 Building. –Artist statement
