The images and words are appropriated from history, art history, fairy tales, religion and popular culture with such diverse themes as Eastern Europe, American Heartland, Moorish Spain, and Sunny California.  The words, like my images, hover between real and fictitious, the rational and absurd.  I purposely create a concurrent coherence and disconnection between the word and image in order to engage the audience. –Artist statement
