A Crustacean's Eye View

I find that my motivation for creating comes from…the thrill of manipulating materials into a visual form of communication and a way of examining the world around me. I feel that as an artist, a lot of developing skills has to do with the power of observation. It is a thoughtful process that is so much a part of who I am and the way I think that it is difficult to separate it out and analyze. –Artist statement
