Right before his interview for Five Citizens, Leo had been catching frogs in a pond. He drew one that was used in the background of his tapestry portrait. While he was catching frogs, he said that he “felt really at home.” His favorite animals are parrots (his mother says he’s been trying to fly ever since he could walk) and dinosaurs – some footprints of which show up in one of the bands. Both of his parents are artists.

Leo says his favorite shape is the circle because it’s ball-shaped and reminds him of his favorite sports, soccer, and basketball. He also likes skiing and snowboarding with his father and doing laundry with his mother. His favorite food is chewing gum. His favorite color is blue.

Words Leo lives by: “Let’s go!”
