April Fools II

In this painting group, the artist uses certain “women’s work” ideas.  She layers notions of feminine beauty and homemaker familiarity with rigorous Minimalist painting.  The layering she achieves offer an image rich in tactile, visual and metaphoric content.  Cloying sweetness and crisp, rigid discipline are played against each other for great effect.
