Somewhere A Private Ceremony

The compositions I create are meant to represent activities that are not necessarily coexisting -- some of the figures are in real space, some are in dream space, some in the future -- but all are currently in the same painting.  Furthermore, a figure's size is relative to its importance, and some images are painted sideways or upside-down.  These compositional tricks allow me to show multiple events on a single plane. –Artist statement
