Night Fishing in the Secret Sea

In my work I attempt to transmit concepts of my culture in an intriguing visual way.  Some people may recognize their imagery and symbology (sic), others may simply respond to the execution or familiarity of a face or object.  I am not trying to create anything new or different.  In fact, it is just the opposite.  I am re-telling old stories in my own way.  I look for truth and answers to life's mysteries by examining repeated cultural patterns and I allow this to influence my work. –Artist statement
