Knight's interest in dance and physical expression additionally influenced her painting and prints. Dance is the way I draw, the way I work. I am interested in gesture. Her main subjects were portraits and still lives, things she would see and people she would meet on a daily basis. Movement and inflection are used to convey meaning, rather than a specific narrative.
