This drawing is part of a series of works examining caves and other underground spaces and their societal significance. These spaces are highly complex and intrinsically difficult to depict with a map. To make this drawing, I modeled a cave three dimensionally and then created a new set of lines to depict the space. These lines were drawn by an industrial CNC machine modified to hold archival Gelly Roll pens. –Artist statement
