Downtown, West Seattle, Elliott Bay and the Moon and Venus over Magnolia, 9 P.M. To 1 A.M., June, 1980

The artist has captured the treasured scene of city and water that remains familiar, even though it has greatly changed since the 1980s.  Here the artist reconfigures our perspective of the familiar horizon line that captures the night light of the city, the moon and even a celestial planet and spreads it out wide over four separate windows.  A sense of time and movement is derived from this segmentation and movement of the streaking planet.
