Fabiano Gonzalez Rios, a Huichol of the Mexican Sierra taught me the art of Cuadro-making using yarn, beads and wax. In addition he opened my eyes to the brilliance of color and the power of sharp contrast.
It is my intention that my work be a reminder of the Spirit, which dwells behind the facades of this world. This piece calls to the flow and unity in and around the earth's seas. We Northwest dwellers on the Pacific Rim are graced to be part of it ALL.
