Sequence

The Sequence prints examine the effect of rotating the direction of the matrix and the sequence of all four colors throughout the quadrants of the composition.  It was printed off two traditional limestones, and two aluminum plates hand drawn by the artist.  The print was run through the press 17 times, 16 of them with an ink layer and the 17th to complete the chine colle.  Produced in collaboration with Master Printer, Mark Mahaffey and the Portland print workshop Mahaffey Fine Art. –Artist statement
