Red Flower

Red Flower is part of a body of work explores patterns in nature and how alike we are at a fundamental level. Among nature designs, certain patterns are used again and again. The branching of the trees and the branching of arteries are very similar; the same is observed of spirals of the tiniest of shells to the largest of galaxies. What intrigues me is, with only a few basic forms (spirals, meanders, branching patterns etc.,), nature generates immense diversity. And yet the similarity that derives from common patterns creates a visual harmony in this world we live in. –Artist statement
