This work is one in a series about the memories of trees and their interactions with people. It is a fragment of a tree branch resembling Wedgewood china to allude to the era of cultural utopia and innocence. The romantic toile style image of a boy pushing a girl on a tree swing can be seen in the tree's bark. This idyllic scene is the most joyous memory the tree has of its life with people. –Artist statement
