This tapestry was inspired by the gravitational pull of the full moon on the ocean. I wanted to show the dancing surface of the ocean as it is rising toward the moon and the connection where the moonlight touches the waves. I wove this tapestry in eccentric weave (where the wefts are not woven perpendicular to the warp but at an angle) to define the shape and motion of the water. –Artist statement
